About the Role
Participate in the development of new product and style samples, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
Liaise with customers, merchandisers, and technical teams on measurement, design, fabric, and knitting feasibility.
Prepare knitting programs using relevant software and support Standard Minute Value (SMV calculations) for Free on Board (FOB costing).
Analyze pre-production samples, identify technical and production risks, and recommend preventive actions.
Ensure timely completion of do ability samples and evaluate proto samples before customer submission.
Develop and modify knitting programs for concept, proto, and size-set samples based on customer feedback and fabric behavior.
Attend fabric inspection (FI) discussions and support technical adjustments to ensure smooth production.
Resolve day-to-day technical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support and drive projects related to new product development (NPD), cost reduction, and lead time improvement.
Conduct FI handover meetings and ensure accurate transfer of technical information, knitting programs, and technical packs to production teams.
Ensure all technical documentation for new styles is handed over to the relevant plant representatives.
Drive First Time Through (FTT) and Just-In-Time (JIT) performance by ensuring quality compliance and preventing recurring defects.
