Accountant - Auditing and Tax

Participate in audit engagements covering Australian entities, including risk assessment, audit planning, and substantive testing.
Assess financial risks such as potential fraud, mismanagement, or reporting inaccuracies, and evaluate internal control systems.
Perform audit procedures to ensure financial statements present a true and fair view of the organization’s performance and position.
Prepare financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
Attend online meetings with Australian-based clients and audit team members, providing insights and updates.
Collaborate with local and Sydney-based audit teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Contribute to enhancing reporting quality, operational efficiency, and best practices across engagements.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to professional development, continuously building technical and analytical capabilities.

The candidate should be able to work on-site according to the SL calendar and shift.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential, with a CASL qualification (completed or in progress) preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of overall accounting experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on audit experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, audit methodologies, and risk assessment practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation.
