PHLEBOTOMIST

Collect blood samples from patients accurately and safely according to standard procedures.

Label, handle and transport specimens correctly to the laboratory.

Verify patient identity and ensure correct documentation before sample collection.

Maintain cleanliness, infection control and safety standards in the work area.

Provide reassurance and clear instructions to patients during sample collection.

Coordinate with nurses, doctors and laboratory staff regarding specimen requirements.

Maintain records and perform related administrative duties as assigned.

G.C.E. Advanced Level in any stream.

Certificate or Diploma in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field will be an added advantage.

0–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Good knowledge of blood collection procedures, infection control and patient safety practices.

Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work accurately, maintain confidentiality and handle patients with care.
